1. The service
Game Day Coach provides tools for youth and club soccer team management, including roster tracking, scheduling, lineups, live match aids, communications, and related features. Some features may require a paid Game Day Coach Pro subscription.
The app’s primary coaching purpose is to provide suggestions that help coaches pursue more equitable playing time while reducing large talent gaps during lineups and substitutions. Suggestions are based on the ratings, availability, positions, match events, and other information users enter. They are decision-support recommendations only; coaches remain responsible for evaluating each player and deciding what is appropriate for their team, match, and circumstances.
2. Eligibility and accounts
- You must be able to form a binding contract in your jurisdiction to create an account.
- If you are under 18, you may use the app only with permission from a parent/guardian or under an authorized team account.
- You are responsible for safeguarding your login credentials and for activity under your account.
- You agree to provide accurate account information and keep it up to date.
3. Team organizer responsibilities
If you create or manage a team, you represent that:
- You have authority to invite members and manage team data
- You will only upload player, parent, or contact information you are authorized to use
- You will share join codes and invites only with intended team participants
- You are responsible for role permissions you grant to helpers, coaches, players, and parents
4. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Harass, threaten, or abuse other users
- Upload unlawful, infringing, or misleading content
- Attempt to access another user’s account or team without authorization
- Interfere with or disrupt the service, including reverse engineering except where prohibited by law from being restricted
- Use the app to send spam or unsolicited commercial messages outside normal team communications
- Use team chat or communications features for anything other than legitimate team purposes
We may suspend or terminate access for violations of these Terms.
5. Subscriptions and payments
- Paid features are offered as auto-renewable subscriptions through Apple’s App Store.
- Prices, billing periods, and free trials (if any) are shown in the app and App Store listing at the time of purchase.
- Payment is charged to your Apple ID account at confirmation of purchase.
- Subscriptions renew automatically unless canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
- Manage or cancel subscriptions in your Apple ID account settings after purchase.
- Refund requests are handled by Apple according to Apple’s refund policies.
6. User content
You retain ownership of content you submit (such as roster notes, chat messages, and team data). You grant Tsunami a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, store, process, and display that content solely as needed to operate and improve the service for you and your team.
You are responsible for the legality and accuracy of content you upload. We may remove content that violates these Terms or applicable law.
7. Intellectual property
Game Day Coach, including its software, design, branding, and documentation, is owned by The Tsunami Experience, LLC or its licensors and is protected by intellectual property laws. These Terms do not transfer ownership of any Tsunami intellectual property to you.
8. Third-party services
The app may rely on third-party platforms such as Apple and Firebase. Your use of those services may also be subject to their terms and policies. We are not responsible for third-party services we do not control.
9. Safety, coaching, and warranty disclaimer
Game Day Coach is provided “AS IS” and “AS AVAILABLE.” To the maximum extent permitted by law, Tsunami disclaims all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
Game Day Coach is a team-management and decision-support tool. It is not medical advice, emergency guidance, professional coaching advice, or a substitute for qualified supervision, sound judgment, or compliance with league rules and applicable law.
Coaches, team staff, parents, guardians, and other users remain solely responsible for coaching decisions, substitutions, playing time, player selection, match strategy, and game outcomes. Recommendations, ratings, fatigue indicators, timers, alerts, and other app outputs are informational only and are not instructions, guarantees, or representations that a decision is safe or appropriate.
Users must independently assess each player’s health, fitness, fatigue, injury status, age, experience, and ability, as well as weather, heat, field conditions, equipment, supervision, and other match or practice conditions. Do not rely on the app to diagnose, prevent, monitor, or treat an injury or medical condition. In an emergency, stop using the app and contact the appropriate emergency services or a qualified medical professional.
The app’s “Fatigue” measurement is an automated estimate generated from software calculations, user-entered information, elapsed playing time, and general assumptions. It does not use a medical device or physiological sensor and does not measure a player’s actual fatigue, hydration, exertion, health, or readiness to continue playing. Fatigue values may be incomplete, delayed, or incorrect. Coaches and other responsible adults must observe players in real life, communicate with them, and override or disregard the app’s estimate whenever actual conditions differ from it. The coach remains solely responsible for deciding whether a player should continue, rest, receive attention, or leave play.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Tsunami is not responsible for any game or competition outcome, coaching decision, rule or eligibility violation, physical injury, illness, death, property damage, or other harm arising from or related to participation in practices, matches, team activities, or reliance on information or recommendations provided by the app. The app does not guarantee competitive results, player safety, injury prevention, or uninterrupted availability.
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited, including liability imposed by applicable consumer protection law.
10. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Tsunami and its officers, members, employees, and agents will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, data, goodwill, or business opportunities, arising out of or related to your use of the app.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim arising out of or relating to the service will not exceed the greater of (a) the amounts you paid to Tsunami for Game Day Coach Pro in the 12 months before the claim, or (b) USD $50.
11. Indemnification
You agree to defend and indemnify Tsunami from and against claims, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys’ fees) arising out of your misuse of the app, your content, or your violation of these Terms or applicable law.
12. Termination
You may stop using the app at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if you violate these Terms, if required by law, or if we discontinue the service. Sections that by their nature should survive termination will survive.
13. Changes
We may update these Terms from time to time. The updated Terms will be posted at this URL with a revised effective date. Continued use after changes become effective means you accept the updated Terms.
14. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, except where prohibited by applicable consumer protection law.
